After watching the sunrise, we were very hungry! We decided to get breakfast at Bryce Lodge. It looks almost exactly as it did when it was built in the 1920s. It was delicious! We drove a short distance to park in the Sunrise Point parking lot. We then hiked a 6 and a half mile trail that combined multiple different trails and allowed us to see some amazing views of the park. We sure climbed up and down quite a lot, but it was well worth it.
After having some lunch in the car, we drove to the Mossy Cave Trail, which was actually outside of the Park. We hiked the trail to the "mossy cave" (which would have been very neat in the spring with hanging icicles), and afterwards, we hiked to the small waterfall a little ways off the trail. We ended our day at Bryce Canyon a bit early, for there were some more clouds rolling in. It rains many afternoons during the summer in the Park.
A nice little river runs right behind our camper at this campground
