Zion National Park - Day 2 (Monday)

On Day 2, we hiked a couple more trails in the Park.  We drove to our shuttle stop in the morning and hopped on one of the shuttles.  We stopped at the Emerald Pools trail and hiked to the Lower, Middle and Upper pools. It was a very busy trail, and we did not think the pools were all that impressive.  Next time, we will pick a different hike instead of this one.  After we got back to the trail head, we hopped back on the shuttle and rode it to our car.  We had some lunch before once again getting on the shuttle to take us to our final hike of the day.

We hiked the Hidden Canyon Trail.  It was a really awesome hike!  There are some narrow spots on the trail with steep overlooks.  Once we got down to the canyon, we continued to hike after the "marked trail." Most people continue to hike through part of the canyon, so it was not as if we were finding our way on our own. The trail requires some climbing and scrambling, so that made the hike very fun!  We hiked until we could no longer find a way to get around the items blocking our way.  It was a lot cooler in the canyon, so it made the hike very pleasant.
By the time we returned to the trailhead, it was late afternoon. We had debated doing one more hike, but it was thundering. We did not want to be caught in the rain, so we decided to call it a day. It was another day full of some breathtaking views in Zion National Park!

As we entered the canyon

We had lots of obstacles to overcome

We reached the end of where we felt safe enough to continue

Climbing over some of those obstacles

At the very end... if only we could have gotten up there. It was so beautiful!

Awesome looking walls of the canyon

Had to get a picture of both of us!
