Huntington Beach, CA (Friday)

Yesterday we arrived right outside of Los Angeles.  We are staying in Anaheim, CA at an RV park.  There are a lot of Disney "goers" here since this is where Disneyland is.  We decided to avoid LA traffic, and instead of heading into the city, we went to Huntington Beach.  It was extremely busy along the coast because the beach is hosting the Nike US Open of Surfing.  It was neat to check out, but honestly, we've never seen more punk teenagers in our lives (who were swearing constantly).

It was interesting to check out the surfers, but then we headed back down the beach to find a spot to bask in the sun.  The waves were quite large, at least in our opinion (and given that we've grown up in MN, I wouldn't trust it… haha).  There were quite a few people surfing, body surfing, and boogie boarding.  It was fun to watch!
After we got back to Anaheim, we drove to Downtown Disney to have some dinner.  It was a fun environment with lots of families.  We had a nice meal and then (of course) had some ice cream to top off our evening!
