Zion National Park is absolutely gorgeous! We got here on Saturday evening and began our exploration on Sunday. We began our day (a little later than usual... we both slept in) by hiking the Canyon Overlook Trail. It was a pretty easy hike (which was good because our next hike was hard) and had some great views of the park (but pretty much everywhere in the park is beautiful anyways). We drove through the tunnel to the visitors center to find parking to get on a shuttle. In Zion National Park, you cannot drive on the main road that takes you to most of the hikes. You must take a shuttle.
After a quick lunch in the car, we took the shuttle to the Angels Landing Trail. We hiked to Angels Landing. Whew, it was probably the hardest (but coolest) trail that we've hiked throughout this entire trip! We hiked up 1,500 feet in about 2.5 miles. There was a cluster of 21 switchbacks at one point... but that did not take you to the top. Once you get to an overlook, you have about a half mile climb up some very narrow ridges. There were chains hanging from the wall that you had to use as handles. It was an awesome hike, but it is not for those scared of heights! We ended our day after this hike because it was about supper time, and it started to rain.

Grr... look how strong I am, holding up that rock
At the top of the Canyon Overlook Trail
We had to get a shot of us together

Look at those switchbacks!
The trail got even trickier

It got steeper and steeper!
Finally, at the top!
Amazing view... kinda looks fake
