Seattle Day 2 (Monday)

Day 2 of Seattle was extremely busy!  We had a lot that we wanted to see!  We started the day off at the Seattle Museum of Flight.  We spent a couple of hours there, but we could have spent all day.  There was so much to see.  The artifacts and planes they have are pretty incredible.  We even got to tour the actual Airforce One that was used by past presidents.  From there, we headed to Pikes Place Market.  This is a must-do in Seattle.  It had hundreds of vendors, with a ton of fresh fruit and veggies, fish-throwing booths, eateries, wine-tasting, and so much more!  I could have spent hours upon hours there.  We had some lunch and treats before walking down the boardwalk to the Aquarium.  It was a pretty cool aquarium, but the one that I've been to in Atlanta was much better.  After the aquarium, we went on an Argosy harbor tour.  This was my favorite experience of Seattle.  We got on a boat and had an hour guided tour of the harbor, where we learned a lot about Seattle and the water's influence.  Afterwards, we walked back over near the Space Needle to see the EMP Museum (Experience Music Project).  Erin Glorvigen, we thought of you immediately when we walked into the museum.  You would love it, we are pretty sure!  It was pretty cool, but even more awesome for those who love movies and/or music.  Our favorite exhibit was the Avatar one.  It showed how they made the movie, which is absolutely incredible!  It had a lot of props from the movie and some neat interactive exhibits.  The museum also had Nirvana, AC DC, Rolling Stones, and Jimi Hendrix exhibits, among others.  We ended the evening with dinner with a high school friend, Renee!  She suggested a bunch of awesome restaurants that we should eat at, and we decided on Duke's Chowder House.  It was great!  The clam chowder was especially good, and we got to eat outside, right on the water.  So fun!  Thanks Renee, for a great dinner!  It was so good to see you!
